A mattress is something we tend to forget about, we sleep on it every night yet we never think about changing it. It is recommended that we change our mattresses every 7-10 years, however, if it is not performing as well as it should you may want to consider an earlier replacement or investment in a double adjustment bed or mattress. There are a number of reasons you should consider changing your mattress, here are some of them:

Bed Sores

If you have a medical condition or spend more time in bed due to disability, you may develop bed sores. To prevent the pain and reduce the occurrence, you should invest in a mattress that allows you to be comfortable whilst offering you the support you need. Memory Foam is a fantastic option here as it moulds to the shape of your body, you may also want to consider an adjustable mattress to ease getting up and down.

Allergies

Have you noticed your allergies becoming considerably worse? You may not realise it, but it is common for dust to accumulate in the empty space inside your mattress. This can cause breathing problems and a very poor night’s sleep, however, replacing your mattress can quickly resolve this problem. You can also invest in a Hypoallergenic mattress which is a material that is unlikely to cause an allergic reaction.

Aches and Pains

Having a comfortable mattress is essential as it can affect your sleep and how you perform in the day. After extended use, your mattress may begin to sag and therefore no longer support you correctly, replacing it with a pocket sprung mattress may help reduce this or again, opting for an adjustable mattress with memory foam.

You sleep is vital to your health and wellbeing and investing in a good mattress can really improve the quality of your day to day life.
